Naturally, we’re always striving to keep our content fresh, striking, and enticing to our leads. But how do we keep this content consistent with the message we want to be conveyed, while switching our campaigns every month?
It’s important that as realtors, we’re providing our leads with the correct, and accurate information they need to sell their home – but aren’t boring them with the same content in each email or letter.
So…what does this mean?
Well, this means that because we want to make sure we’re nurturing our real estate leads, each of your campaigns, whether that be email or address only campaigns, should change on a consistent basis.
With that in mind, here are 4 things to remember when creating, changing and updating your campaigns so you convert more leads!
1. Focus on the process
Sometimes the process is just as valuable as the end product, and in this case, the process is nurturing your leads. Yes, the content is vital! But remember that you have to stay devoted to your process in order to see results. Create a system to build monthly postcard campaigns. As an example:
- Start importing your StreetText leads to your CRM, or organizing them how you choose
- Then, find relatable imagery
- Find text, and content that builds curiosity in your lead – and makes them want to contact you
- Decide when they will be completed – a firm, and reoccurring date is best
- Decide when they will be sent
- Decide when you begin working on the upcoming months’ campaign
A clear, structured system will build confidence in your follow up, and over time yield excellent results. This will also prevent procrastination, and allow for a better, more organized version of yourself.
2. See how others are succeeding
I’m not telling you to go out and steal everyone’s content and campaigns.
But what I am telling you is to research what other people are finding success in, and create your own version and interpretation of the campaign that fits your style. Collaboration!
It’s never a bad idea to give someone else the thinking cap for a change, or even allow yourself to glom onto systems others have found success in. If you make it your own and find a system that works for you and others…Great!
It’s also really helpful to let someone else look at your work every once and a while. Not sure if this email campaign will be successful? Wondering if this postcard campaign will strike interest in leads? Send it to co-workers, friends or family first. They’ll have an objective opinion, and maybe give the oomph to your campaign needs.
3. Take a break
We all need a moment to keep us from being overwhelmed, and you’re no exception! When working on a big project especially, you can often get overwhelmed, or feel like you’ve hit a roadblock.
I’m not saying you should disappear from your work and objectives for days on end…but taking a moment to step away from your project or work is healthy.
Go for a walk, take a shower, make dinner and come back to your campaign afterwards. I assure you, having a new set of eyes on your project will allow you to see what you like and don’t like – and give you an opportunity to move forward in a good way.
4. Don’t be afraid to quit
Seriously. If the idea isn’t going anywhere, or you’re stumped on an email campaign idea – can it! Sometimes the idea just won’t flow naturally, and the best thing to do is to start a new project, campaign or email.
This doesn’t mean the content won’t be valuable later on. Re-visit it at a later date if you so wish…but if something isn’t working, don’t waste too much time on it.
This will only keep you frustrated, and angry at your process. We want you to enjoy and to build confidence in your campaigns, so over time…you convert more and more real estate leads.
Some of these might seem like no-brainers, but you’d be surprised at how many people still have difficulties collaborating – or will keep working through a project, despite being frustrating and at a standstill. It’s important to remember to keep consistent with systems that work well for you and to keep modifying those as they grow. As soon as you have a process, the ideas will flow naturally, and you’ll be off to the races.
